My Heart, Your Heart

I am donating this piece to the Kadlec Hospital Neurological Resource Center for their benefit banquet.  I became aware of the benefit when my wife, daughter and I attended an autism conference this past summer in the Tri-Cities, Washington.  That conference was extremely beneficial for my family.  The main speaker was Temple Grandin.

This pencil drawing features my daughter.  She is a kind and patient child and she teaches me a lot about being a compassionate human being.  She makes me a better person and I am blessed to have her as a daughter.  She is my angel.

I really lost track of time as I worked on this.  I fell into a rhythm of making feathers, but I estimate a minimum of 16 or as many as 20 hours got it done. I am glad I caught her in one of her coy, playful moods.  I am proud to support the efforts of the Kadlec Neurological Resource Center this March.

Wonderful picture of your daughter...as a School Nurse in GA a few years ago, Autism is near to my heart. I am so enjoying your teaching videos on YouTube. Thank you for your generosity in giving your time and talent.
